A 17 Year Old on the PGA Tour?

Blades Brown, a 17-year-old golf prodigy, has been making waves on the PGA Tour with his debut at PGA West in Palm Springs for the The Amex Championship.

It's notable that he decided to forego college and head straight for the tour, which is something Tiger didn't even do.  These are different times, however.  Mentioning Tiger, Blades is in good company as one of the only other golfers to ever win both the US Junior Amateur and US Amateur in the same year (the third is rising tour star Nick Dunlap).

We'll be keeping a close eye on Blades as a young golfer with his pedigree certainly has the potential to become a big name, possibly at a very young age.  Oh, and if you're wondering how he played at the Amex?  He just missed the cut at -9 under, but played well overall.
